What is Silicon Valley & Silicon Plateau?

Both seem to be some kind of land forms filled with flora and different species of fauna.

Something like this ?

They ain’t!

Ans :- They’re among the Major IT Hubs in the World. 
Here, IT stands for Information & Technology. IT sector is one of the most demanding sector leading to strengthening of urbanisation. 
IT deals with storage, processing & distribution of Information. Being an emerging business sector. IT deals with hardware, software, telecommunications, etc. Basically anything related to facilitate better communication.

Silicon Valley is in California, USA



 Silicon Plateau is in Bengaluru, India.

Silicon Plateau got named so because Bengaluru being located in the Deccan Plateau & Silicon Valley is a part of Santa Clara Valley, located next to Rocky Mountains of North America.

The main factors responsible for location of IT sector are -
  1. Resources availability.
  2. Cost ( labour, other inputs,etc)
  3. Land for building infrastructure 
Advantages of Information and Technology -
  1. Makes life easier. You can uninterruptedly contact anyone, anytime throughout the globe.
  2. Dispersion of urgent information or announcement is easier. 
  3. Fast & Wide area coverage. That is an epitome for globalisation.
  4. Provides employment to many graduates. From a survey it is estimated that nearly 94.5% youth are employed in IT sector in Europe followed by around 90.9% in Germany & 90.4% in Netherlands.
  5. Best way to maintain a work- life balance and grab huge packages.
As everything comes with some flaws. Here are some Disadvantages of IT -
  1. There’s a huge concern for privacy and security as everything is now an open book.
  2. Lack of Job security and social skills.
  3. Huge input expenses.
Conclusion - Silicon Plateau, Bangalore, India and Silicon Valley, California, USA are Major IT Hubs of the World.

What if I scored less in my boards?

Hey dear, Even if you would have scored 99% the world would have still judged you, some might feel very proud ,some happy, some jealous etc etc. It doesn't always matter that the society accepts us or not, what matters is we do or not. After your results they may taunt you for weeks, months or years (that he scored more than you, sharma ji’s daughter is a state topper bla bla), let them! It's your life dear not their's. Know who you are and always appreciate your capabilities. Don't let your brain and soul accept what others say. Tell them that you are meant for a bigger battle than this. I have known people with 50% owning all the luxuries now that the 90% holder cries for, that's how everything swaps. Marks are just numbers not a map for the rest of your life, may be they are important for the first few phases, like while taking admissions in your desired colleges, desired courses etc. But the rest phases are still in your hands. So don't get discourag...
